VACD - Phillip Vernon Wilson

These emails from Vermont have been very dull.

Greetings,

Attached please find minutes of the February VACD Board meeting, as well as copies of most of the documents made available at the meeting.  I apologize for being so slow in sending these out.  I will send you our Tax Form 990 in a separate email since it is so large.  Attached are:

  • Minutes of 2/22/2012 VACD Board Meeting
  • Minutes of 10/19/2011 VACD Board Meeting
  • Approved VACD Strategic Plan Goals, pending proxy votes
  • Proxy Vote Form for 2/22/2012 meeting
  • Copies of proxy votes for 10/19/2011 items
  • Copy of Interagency MOU for Lake Champlain Coordination
  • Copy of FSA State Committee Minute thanking VACD and Districts for post-Irene assistance
  • VACD Technical Programs Report
  • VACD Financial Statements for Year to Date ending 12/31/2011
The VACD Strategic Plan Goals attached here are the final version pending approval by proxy votes.  Since we didn't have a quorum at the meeting, for the districts that were not represented, last week I sent paper copies of all these documents to your VACD supervisor representative (which is usually but not always your chair) asking them to vote on the strategic plan goals by proxy.  Please encourage them to vote, so we can keep moving forward with our work together.  We'll be talking about the next steps in the strategic planning process at the DM meeting at the end of May and the VACD Board meeting in mid-June.

The next VACD board meeting will be held Thursday, June 14th, 1:30-4:00 pm, at the USDA Service Center in Berlin.  At this meeting we'll be discussing both district funding in FY 2013 and the Field Office of the Future.  The meeting will be preceded by a VACD Technical Partnership meeting starting at 9:30 am, which you and supervisors are welcome to attend.  Please mark your calendars!

Please forward this information to your supervisors.  Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Best,

Jill
